Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Mirror Vision app and website collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Mirror Vision is operated by Mirror Vision Pty Ltd (ABN registered in Australia), referred to here as "we", "us" and "our".
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, additional rights are described under Your rights.
The short version
Your swing videos are yours. They are recorded and stored on your own devices. They are only uploaded to our servers if you turn on cloud sync. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your swing videos for advertising.
What we collect

What we do not collect
We never receive your payment card details. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple account, and Apple does not share your card information with us.
How we use it
- To run the app and keep your account and videos available across your devices.
- To provide support and respond to reports you send us.
- To understand which features are used so we can improve the app and fix faults.
- To manage subscriptions, trials and renewals.
- To measure how well our advertising works, and to reach people who may be interested in the app.
- To meet our legal obligations and to protect against fraud or misuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with the service providers below, who are only permitted to use it to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale or restructure of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
Advertising
We advertise Mirror Vision on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The app includes the Meta software development kit, which reports app events such as opening the app or starting a subscription, so we can measure whether our advertising works.
Mirror Vision does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and does not do so. Because we never request that permission, Apple does not provide us with your device's advertising identifier. Measurement of our advertising instead relies on Apple's SKAdNetwork, which reports results to us in an aggregated form that is not tied to you as an individual.
You can further limit ad personalisation at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising, and in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
Where your information is held
We are based in Australia. Our service providers operate data centres in Australia, the United States and other countries, so your information may be stored or processed outside the country you live in. Where we transfer personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard comparable to the one described here.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and any synced videos for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal, tax or accounting reasons. Videos stored only on your device are removed when you delete them or remove the app.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is wrong or out of date
- delete your account and the information associated with it
- stop using your information for a particular purpose

If you are in the EEA or the UK
We process your information on the basis of performing our contract with you (running the app and your subscription), your consent (location, and tracking for advertising), and our legitimate interests (improving the app, security, and measuring our advertising). You also have the right to data portability, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in California
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising other than the advertising measurement described above, which you can opt out of using the iOS tracking setting.
If you are in Australia
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Security
We use encrypted connections for data sent between the app and our servers, and we restrict access to personal information to people who need it to do their job. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the relevant regulator if a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm.
Children
Mirror Vision is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Mirror Vision after a change means you accept the updated policy.
